Take Care of You + Playlist

It is the day after the election and Week 5 and just like you, I am exhausted in every possible way. In hopes that you all take care of yourselves, I wanted to give you all another playlist to listen to in case you ever find the time to wind down or tunes to study to. This is also for those of you that have an intense week of midterms and papers coming up and I hope that you also find time to take care of your mental and physical health. If you just need a moment to debrief, collect yourself, or just take some time to vibe and relax then by all means do so.

Some key tips that I highly recommend in order to relax or prioritize your needs in between studies:

1. Take a nap

I don't think it's a good idea to fall asleep in the middle of studying or writing a paper, so taking a break and taking a nap is never a bad idea.

2. Drink water and remember to feed yourself

We all forget to take care of ourselves trying to finish assignments or cram study but always remember that you most likely are not going to perform well on an empty tank.

3. Take a break in between

Please try not to overwhelm yourself with your workload. A lot of the times we worry about assignments that won't be due in the next few weeks, so please be easy on yourself.

4. Move your body after prolonged periods of studying

This is similar to the tip before but always try and get up and move around so that you can keep your body aware and awake. Sometimes if you sit too long, your body will become fatigued which would then discourage you from continuing your work or have you fast asleep.

5. Make a playlist (I have already done this for you!)

Well, won't you look at that!

I know that there is a lot of uncertainty with what the future may hold (with the election and the quarter) but remember that you are doing great and that you deserve to take care of yourself and unravel. Simply click the picture above and it will take you to the playlist that I made for you all. It is also collaborative so if it’s missing a song or two that relaxes you, please feel free to add it.

I hope this playlist aids in your study sesh or vibe sessions, and good luck to all of you this week and for the rest of the quarter.

xoxo,

Kamea
